Job summary

A leading food manufacturing firm in Ashford is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to handle both electrical and mechanical tasks on-site. This role involves 90% planned preventative maintenance and 10% reactive work. An ideal candidate has a Level 3 qualification in engineering and PLC fault-finding abilities. Strong knowledge of BS 7671 regulations is also required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work across both electrical and mechanical tasks on a food manufacturing site in Kent.
• 90% of time on planned preventative maintenance; 10% on reactive breakdowns.
• Fix conveyors, deal with cooling towers, and other on‑shift engineering tasks as needed.
• Be the go-to on shift, often working independently with responsibility.

Qualifications

• Relevant apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in engineering maintenance.
• Solid PLC fault-finding ability.
