Job summary

STADA UK Thornton & Ross is seeking a Shift Machine Technician to own the performance and availability of manufacturing equipment on night shifts in Huddersfield. You will drive proactive maintenance, rapid set-ups, and effective breakdown fixes while maintaining GMP standards and robust documentation.

The role focuses on reducing changeover times, improving line efficiency, and collaborating with project teams to introduce new equipment smoothly.

Qualifications

GMP experience in pharma or FMCG environments is required.
Strong understanding of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and its impact on performance.
Experience with preventative maintenance programmes and reliability improvement.
Proven ability to optimize changeovers and set-ups for speed and quality.
Experience in planning and executing maintenance work to keep lines running.

Responsibilities

Own maintenance and availability of manufacturing equipment end-to-end.
Lead proactive maintenance and continuous improvement to maximise uptime.
Reduce changeover times through improved procedures and equipment upgrades.
Coordinate breakdown response and root-cause analysis to prevent recurrences.
Ensure GMP compliance and maintain engineering documentation in line with MHRA/BSI standards.
