Job summary

STADA UK Thornton & Ross is seeking a Shift Machine Technician to keep high-speed production lines in top condition. You’ll own equipment performance, rapid setup, and efficient changeovers while supporting continuous improvement on night shifts.

Minimum Level 3 mechanical qualification and hands-on production experience are required. GMP knowledge in pharma or FMCG, strong OEE focus, and coordination with project teams are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Level 3 mechanical qualification with hands-on production experience
• Engineer, technician or setter with experience working directly with production machinery
• GMP experience in Pharma or FMCG preferred
• Familiar with Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and delivering performance gains
• Maintenance criticality awareness impacting safety, uptime and quality
• Experience with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to drive reliability

Responsibilities

• Slash changeover times by refining procedures and upgrading equipment
• React quickly to breakdowns, coordinate support and solve repeat faults
• Build and continuously improve a robust maintenance programme including spares strategy
• Lead continuous improvement activities and drive line efficiency projects
• Collaborate with project teams to introduce new equipment smoothly from selection to trials
• Ensure GMP compliance and align engineering docs with MHRA/BSI standards
