Overview

Night Shift Interior Train Cleaner – Cauldwell Walk Train Depot

£13.85 per hour, plus enhanced overtime rates. Initial 6‑month contract with potential to go permanent.

Join a team that maintains high standards, with full training and ongoing support from day one. You will help ensure trains are spotless, safe, and ready to provide a welcoming experience for passengers each morning.

Responsibilities
  • Work night shifts from 22:00 to 05:00, Monday to Friday.
  • Perform full and deep cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing key touch points.
  • Maintain the highest cleanliness and hygiene standards across train interiors.
  • Support may be available for weekend overtime shifts at management discretion.
  • Deliver visible results on each shift, contributing to passenger comfort and safety.
Qualifications
  • Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to high standards.
  • Physically capable of carrying out active, hands-on duties.
  • Experience in cleaning, industrial, or manual work is advantageous but not essential; work ethic and attention to detail are most important.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Starting rate of £13.85 per hour with enhanced pay for overtime, rest days, and Sunday nights.
  • Weekly wages with a pay increase after 12 weeks under Agency Workers’ Rights.
  • Full PPE and comprehensive on-the-job training provided.
  • Opportunity to progress into train presentation roles or engineering positions within the rail industry.
