Coppersmith Recruitment and Services Ltd is recruiting an Industrial Cleaning Supervisor for a large Dunfermline distribution centre. You will lead a night shift of cleaning operatives, ensuring high standards of safety, efficiency and cleanliness while meeting client expectations.

The role requires hands-on supervision, strong communication, and the ability to manage workloads on a 4-on, 4-off night rotation. On-site, permanent contracted hours with a compensation of £14.21 per hour.

Aufgaben

• Supervise, motivate, and coordinate a team of industrial cleaning operatives during the night shift.
• Allocate daily cleaning duties and ensure workloads are distributed effectively.
• Monitor team performance, productivity, attendance, and cleaning standards.
• Provide guidance, support, and on-the-job training to cleaning operatives.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels and report any absences or operational concerns.
• Lead by example, maintaining a professional and hands-on approach to cleaning duties.
• Oversee all cleaning activities across a large, operational distribution centre.
• Ensure floors, loading bays, walkways, communal areas, and spaces are cleaned to standards.
• Supervise waste collection, segregation, recycling, and disposal activities.
• Monitor safe use of industrial cleaning equipment, including scrubber dryers.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify areas needing additional cleaning.
• Ensure cleaning schedules and site requirements are met within timeframes.
• Assist with cleaning duties when necessary to support the team.
• Ensure cleaning activities comply with site health and safety procedures.
• Promote safe working practices and PPE usage.
• Monitor chemical handling/storage per COSHH regulations.
• Identify hazards, incidents, near misses, and equipment defects.
• Maintain hygiene, housekeeping, and workplace safety.
• Act as main point of contact for cleaning-related matters during the night shift.
• Communicate with site management and operational teams.
• Complete cleaning checklists, inspections, and shift handover reports.
• Report staffing issues, cleaning concerns, and maintenance requirements promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of completed cleaning tasks and activities.
