Job summary
A leading HGV dealership in Norwich is seeking an HGV Technician to work on Nightshift. The role involves servicing and maintaining a diverse range of trucks and vehicles, conducting safety inspections, and performing fault diagnostics. We're looking for candidates with Level 3 qualifications in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and prior experience in relevant sectors. A full UK driving licence is required. Qualifications
Previous experience in HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, or associated sectors.
Willingness to train from light commercial or car mechanic to HGV Technician.
Ideally from a recognized apprenticeship or training program.
Excellent technical knowledge and ability to accurately diagnose faults.
Full UK driving licence required.
Responsibilities
Servicing and maintaining a variety of Trucks and Vehicles.
Carrying out safety inspections and preparing vehicles for MOTs.
Ensuring repairs are completed to manufacturer’s procedures.
Conducting road tests when required.
Skills
Experience as Technician / Mechanic
Fault Diagnosis
Knowledge of manufacturer’s procedures
Ability to participate in breakdowns
Completion of job cards
Education
Level 3 (C&G, NVQ or equivalent) in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
