Job summary

Workchain is recruiting a Night-Shift HGV Class 2 Driver in Barnsley. You will conduct planned deliveries and collections, perform pre- and post-journey vehicle checks, and ensure safe loading/unloading of goods for UK projects.

Role is temporary with night shifts, paying £16.90 per hour. You will maintain professional communication with customers and site contacts while adhering to road safety and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence is required.
• Driver CPC qualification is required.
• Digital tachograph card is required.
• Prior commercial driving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Complete planned deliveries and collections during night shifts.
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after each journey.
• Load, secure and handle goods safely.
• Complete delivery paperwork and other required records.
• Communicate professionally with customers, site contacts and colleagues.
• Follow transport, road safety and workplace procedures.
• Report any vehicle, delivery or load-related issues promptly.
