Job summary

Workchain is recruiting an HGV Class 2 Driver for a Ossett-based position. You will be responsible for local, regional or nationwide deliveries and collections, ensuring safe loading, securing and handling of goods while adhering to road transport regulations.

The role offers a days shift with a minimum 8 hours paid and opportunities for permanent employment. The driver will perform daily vehicle checks, maintain accurate paperwork, and deliver a professional service at customer sites.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 entitlement.
• Driver CPC.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and road transport regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle in line with road and transport regulations.
• Complete local, regional or nationwide deliveries and collections as required.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Load, secure and handle goods safely.
• Complete delivery paperwork and use relevant transport systems accurately.
• Provide a professional and helpful service at collection and delivery points.
• Follow company procedures, driving laws and health and safety requirements.
