Job summary

Cotteswold Dairy invites applications for an HGV Driver (Class 2) at our Cheltenham Depot. The role involves multi-drop deliveries of fresh dairy products in a temperature-controlled environment, with night shifts and weekend work possible.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Full UK driving licence Category C.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Physically fit with ability to perform manual handling.
• Strong communication and a customer-focused attitude.
• Night shifts, weekends and bank holidays may be required.
• Newly qualified drivers are encouraged and training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Category C vehicles in compliance with UK driving laws, Driver CPC, and tachograph regulations.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries, ensuring stock rotation and maintaining product quality.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and promptly report any defects.
• Load and unload products safely, including manual handling.
• Follow health, food hygiene, and security procedures.
• Work independently on the road while maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Provide cover for colleagues during holidays or absences as required.
