Job summary

Cotteswold Dairy is seeking a dependable HGV Driver to join the Haulage team at the Cheltenham Depot. The role is Class 2 / Category C, with multi-drop deliveries of dairy products across the region in a temperature-controlled environment.

Night shifts, weekend work, and bank holidays are part of the roster. New drivers are encouraged and training and career development are provided to help you progress within the company.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence Category C essential.
• Driver CPC and Tachograph Card required.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling.
• Strong communication and customer-focused approach.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Newly qualified drivers welcome with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV vehicles (Category C) in line with laws and tachograph rules.
• Carry out multi-drop deliveries and rotate stock as needed.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Load/unload goods safely using manual handling and equipment.
• Maintain health, safety and food hygiene standards.
• Work independently on the road and maintain customer relations.
• Provide cover during holidays or absence as required.
