Job summary

Pertemps Sheffield is hiring HGV Class 1 Drivers who may drive Class 2 when required, delivering to retail stores from a modern fleet. 38 drops per shift, caged deliveries, and some stores may require opening for delivery.

Shifts start between 20:00 and 04:00 with multiple start times, minimum 8 hours, unpaid breaks, and work Monday–Saturday. Sundays paid at double time; overtime after 44 hours at time and a half. Training provided on first shift as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Willing to drive Class 2 vehicles when required.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph card required.
• Comfortable with multi-drop retail deliveries.
• Professional, reliable with minimum 12 months experience.
• Maximum 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries to retail stores; 38 drops per shift.
• Return backloads to site; pre-loaded vehicles.
• Some stores may require opening for delivery (training provided on first shift).
• May occasionally assist in the warehouse if required.
