Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for our Worksop site to join a permanent, full-time 24/7 operation delivering to Regional Distribution Centres nationwide. You will carry out safe, professional deliveries, complete palletised haulage, and adhere to tachograph rules and health and safety standards.

Start times are Monday to Friday nights between 14:00 and 19:00 (around 15:00).

Qualifications

Valid C+E Licence.
6 months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
No more than 6 points on licence and no DD or DR convictions.
Current valid DCPC and Tachograph cards.
Good understanding of Driver’s Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.

Responsibilities

Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
Complete palletised general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres.
Occasional Night out may be required.
Report delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies to Transport team at shift start.
Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned.
