Job summary

Culina is seeking HGV Class 1 drivers for permanent night shifts at multiple UK locations. Start times from 2pm to 6pm with Monday to Friday nights, offering a competitive base rate plus night allowance and overtime.

You will perform safe deliveries to customer premises and support regional distribution, with occasional night outs. Applicants should hold a C+E license, Driver CPC, and tachograph card, have good knowledge of drivers’ hours, and possess strong communication and professional

Qualifications

• Hold a valid C+E license and Digital Tachograph card.
• UK Driver CPC required for professional driving roles.
• Experience with HGV Class 1 driving is preferred (minimum 6 months).
• Knowledge of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres, with most deliveries completed as backdoor tip.
• Support occasional driver tipping or multi-drop deliveries depending on customer demand.
• Occasional Night out may be required.
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and communicate delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies promptly.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company rules and procedures, including health and safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and adhere to tachograph rules and regulations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks in line with company procedure and report defects correctly.
• Take responsibility for the unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a high standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.
