Job summary

Waitrose & Partners Exeter is seeking a Supermarket Assistant to deliver partner-led service and a passion for food that makes Waitrose stand out. You’ll help customers and ensure the shop runs smoothly at the Exeter branch.

The role involves 22 hours per week with early morning shifts (04:00–10:00). Pay starts at £13.00 per hour, rising to £13.25 after 90 days, plus a night premium of £3.75 per hour after night hours where applicable.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and teamwork with customers.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and well placed.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for driver delivery.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and date labelling.
• Collaborating with the shop team on checkout support, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
• Maintaining a safe, tidy working environment and general shopkeeping duties.
