Job summary

Waitrose & Partners in Newark is seeking a Supermarket Assistant to support shelves, online orders, and customer service. The role offers varied hours across seven days, with a night premium of £3.75 per hour for night shifts (22:00–06:00). Contract type is temporary and hours include early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends.

Exposure to customer-facing work and a passion for food are valued. DBS and vetting may be required during recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns to sell-by dates.
• Working with the wider shop team to support checkout, Click & Collect, on-demand orders, etc.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with shopkeeping tasks.
