Job summary
Owen Payne Recruitment are recruiting an experienced Forklift Operator to join a leading palletised freight distributor based in Wolverhampton. The role offers a 12-week temp-to-perm pathway with benefits, in a new purpose-built facility.
Working in a high-volume distribution hub, you will load/unload double-decker trailers, operate within a busy environment, and ensure safe weight distribution and adherence to Health & Safety procedures. Regular nights, potential for permanent placement.
Qualifications
- In-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
- At least 2 years forklift experience.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse or distribution environment.
- Hands-on experience loading/unloading double-decker trailers within a network environment.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload double-decker trailers.
- Operate within a fast-paced hub with 70+ forklifts.
- Move palletised freight safely and efficiently.
- Ensure freight is loaded with correct and safe weight distribution.
- Carry out duties in line with Health & Safety procedures.
- Report any freight or equipment damage.
- Support the wider warehouse operation with additional duties when required.
