Job summary

Right Now Group in Langley is seeking a reliable Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join a busy air cargo and logistics operation. You will load and unload freight, operate the counterbalance forklift and ensure safety, accuracy and speed in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires an RTITB/ITSSAR forklift licence, at least two years in airfreight, strong hygiene and record-keeping, and the ability to work nights on a 4-on 4-off pattern.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB/ITSSAR or equivalent).
• Proven counterbalance forklift experience in warehouse/logistics.
• Minimum two years in airfreight operations.
• Strong health and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Operate a counterbalance forklift to move, load and position freight.
• Scan, label, sort and allocate freight for domestic, import and export consignments.
• Build and break down aircraft pallets per company procedures.
• Palletise and secure goods for safe transport.
• Carry out stock checks and bonded warehouse checks when required.
• Coordinate transport and ensure freight meets airline deadlines.
• Support daily warehouse operations to hit team targets and deadlines.
• Respond to customer queries professionally and resolve issues.
• Complete daily equipment checks and report faults or safety concerns.
• Use warehouse systems to record freight movements and maintain records.
• Report discrepancies and damaged goods as per procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness, housekeeping, safety and security throughout the warehouse and yard.
• Attend briefings and training, and work with others to maintain productivity.
