Job summary

Talent Guardian is recruiting on behalf of a growing food manufacturer in Park Royal, London, for a Night Shift Machine Operator on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves operating and setting production machinery, following plans and ensuring quality, hygiene and safety standards.

Night shifts run 9pm–6:30am, five nights per week, with from £13.50 per hour depending on experience. Benefits include on-site parking, discounts, private medical insurance and an employee wellbeing programme.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing or production environment is essential.
• Able to operate and set production machinery with confidence.
• Mechanical mindset and understanding of equipment operation.
• Good spoken and written English; clear communication.
• Basic IT skills for production records and systems.
• Positive, proactive attitude and teamwork.
• Awareness of health, safety and hygiene procedures.
• Level 2 Food Safety and Food Hygiene qualifications would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set production machinery to ensure efficient, accurate manufacture.
• Follow production plans to meet quantities, specifications and methods.
• Monitor product quality and report concerns or issues.
• Adhere to health, hygiene, safety and food safety procedures.
• Identify and report machinery faults or breakdowns to the Production Manager or Engineering team.
• Support the smooth running of production to meet daily targets.
• Collaborate with the Night Shift Production Supervisor and wider team.
