Job summary

Reynolds Food Group is seeking a Food Production Operative for weighing, packing and labelling in our Hainault, Essex facility. This night-shift role involves ensuring product quality, accurate labelling and adherence to hygiene standards while meeting production targets.

You will work six nights per week from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am, with a 54-hour week and opportunities for overtime. Training and development opportunities are provided to support food safety qualifications.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written English skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong timekeeping and attendance.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
• Flexible approach to work and willingness to work additional hours.
• Willingness to complete Level 2 Food Hygiene and Level 2 Health & Safety Awareness training, if not already achieved.

Responsibilities

• Weigh, pack and label food products accurately in line with customer specifications.
• Ensure raw products are labelled correctly with descriptions and batch codes.
• Label pre-packed goods with correct customer details before dispatch.
• Carry out quality checks to meet quality, hygiene and food safety standards.
• Follow SOPs, HACCP and Health & Safety guidelines.
• Raise concerns regarding product quality or food safety with supervisors.
• Operate packaging, labelling machinery and equipment safely.
• Assist with packing and preparation of all food products in the department.
• Minimise product waste and support waste management practices.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and perform cleaning duties as required.
• Maintain high personal hygiene standards and use PPE.
• Work collaboratively to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Follow management instructions and accept additional hours if needed.
