Job summary

Searchability is seeking an On-Site IT Support Technician to join our field engineering team for overnight deployments across the UK. You will install and configure pre-built IT equipment, including servers, EPOS systems and payment terminals at customer sites, typically one site per night.

You’ll work 10:00pm starts, Monday to Thursday, with regular stays away from home and accommodation provided. A full UK driving licence and a customer-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a field-based IT support or installation role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and IT hardware.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Happy to travel nationwide and stay away during the working week.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and working outdoors when required.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure pre-built IT equipment at customer locations across the UK.
• Work overnight from 10:00pm start time.
• Complete one site installation per night, Monday to Thursday.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with industry regulations while delivering a high standard of service.
