Hunter Selection is assisting a leading food manufacturer in Milton Keynes to hire multiple Night Shift Engineers. The role covers electrical and mechanical maintenance on high-speed lines, with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

Offers include a £62,000 to £68,000 salary with a structured training plan to raise to the higher band. Benefits include private healthcare, pension, shares, and various staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Multiskilled engineer with electrical bias in a food manufacturing setting.
• NVQ Level 3 Apprenticeship or equivalent in Engineering.
• 18th Edition is beneficial for electrical work.
• Experience in PLC fault finding and automation/controls.

Responsibilities

• Electrical & mechanical maintenance, PPMs and repairs on high-speed production & packaging lines.
• Work on conveyors, refrigeration, chillers, site services and ventilation.
• Project work including new machine installs and upgrades; identify spare parts and raise requests.
• Record all work in the CMMS (Pirana) system.

Our client is a leading food manufacturing company, the site is part of a larger national organisation. Due to growth and further expansion within the factory, they are looking for a number of experienced Night Shift Engineers to join their team.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Electrical & mechanical maintenance, PPM's, and repairs
• Working on a variety of high-speed production & packaging machinery, conveyors, food processing equipment, refrigeration, chillers, site services, ventilation
• Dealing with motors, drives, gearboxes, pumps hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, compressors
• Project work - new machine installs, upgrades & continuous improvement work
• PLC - electrical fault finding
• Identify spare parts, raise stock & non-stock requests
• Record all work on CMMS (Pirana) System

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Looking for a multi-skilled engineer - ideally electrically biased
• Must have worked in food manufacturing
• NVQ Level 3 Apprenticeship (or equivalent) Engineering Qualification
• Beneficial to have 18th Edition
• Electrical fault finding & mechanical fitting experience
• Dealt with pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes, drives, pumps, compressors
• Ideally have worked on boilers & steam systems - beneficial to be BOAS certified
• PLC - electrical fault finding
• Automation & controls experience
• Strong, proactive & effective communication skills
