Job summary

Zest is seeking a Night Shift Engineering Team Leader to lead and support the engineering team on the night shift, working hands-on with maintenance and repairs. You will drive maintenance planning, fault-finding, and continuous improvement to maximise uptime while keeping CMMS records and upholding health and safety standards.

Join a proactive, hands-on team focused on reliability and strong collaboration with production and factory management on shift.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent in mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled engineering.
Experience in FMCG/food manufacturing or fast-paced production.
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
Proactive, hands-on approach with decision-making under pressure.

Responsibilities

Lead and support the engineering team during the night shift, hands-on with maintenance and repairs.
Coordinate and prioritise maintenance activities and breakdown responses.
Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics and root cause analysis to reduce recurring issues.
Drive planned preventative maintenance and continuous improvement to maximise uptime.
Keep CMMS records and uphold health, safety and compliance standards.
Act as key engineering point of contact for production and factory management on shift.
