Job summary

Princes is seeking a Nights Multi-Skilled Engineer with a Mechanical Bias for the Millerdale site in Bradford. The role operates 6 pm to 6 am on a 4 on/4 off rotation, reporting to the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Versatile Multi-Skilled Engineer with a Mechanical Bias.
• Experience with pneumatic, electrical and large mechanical machinery.
• Experience with packaging/bagging equipment, multihead weighers, and checkweighers.
• Welding skills in TIG/MIG.
• Ability to work nights (6 pm–6 am) on a 4 on/4 off pattern.

Responsibilities

• Provide general maintenance for production equipment following Health & Safety, Quality and Engineering Procedures.
• Ensure all PPMs are completed on time as part of Engineering Department Targets.
• Rectify breakdowns efficiently and investigate root cause to prevent recurrence.
• Respond to ad hoc requests and take part in projects as directed by Lead Engineer.
• Manage contractors for maintenance and repairs while ensuring Health & Safety compliance.
• Ensure GMP and Quality Policy compliance with contractor management.
• Provide front line engineering support to manufacturing operations.
• Complete stores requisitions for parts and services.
• Continually monitor plant conditions and report defects.
• Maintain a detailed log of all work carried out on plant.
• Represent the company professionally inside and outside the business.
• Protect health, safety and welfare at all times.
• Develop skills through training and development opportunities.
• Undertake any other duties as required by the Company.
