Job summary

NWF Agriculture Ltd is seeking an experienced maintenance engineer to support night shift operations at its Wardle site. You will ensure safe and efficient operation of all feed manufacturing, processing, and packaging equipment, carrying out planned maintenance and reactive repairs with a strong electrical focus while keeping mechanical skills sharp.

The role involves diagnosing faults, supporting improvements, and maintaining feed safety standards across the site.

Qualifications

• Qualified multi-skilled maintenance with strong electrical bias.
• Experience in manufacturing, feed milling or related process industries.
• Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work independently during night shifts and on-call cycles.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on all feed mill equipment.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support installation, commissioning and modification of plant equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve reliability and safety.
• Maintain critical spare parts inventory and report needs.
• Liaise with production and management to ensure smooth operations.
