Job summary

A maintenance service provider in Canary Wharf, London, is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for night shifts at £26 per hour. You will perform various electrical tasks, including installations, lighting maintenance, and BMS monitoring, within a commercial building environment. A City & Guilds qualification and relevant experience are required. Immediate start available.

Job description

Electrical Maintenance Engineer (TEMP) – Night Shifts - Canary Wharf, London - FM Service Provider – £26 per hour

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join an established building services company based in Canary Wharf. The role is situated within a commercial office environment, where you will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance as part of an experienced maintenance team.

Hours of work:

- Hours: 19:00pm - 07:00am, 4 on 4 off
- Temporary Placement
- NIGHTS ONLY
- Rate: £26 per hour
- Immediate start required

Key Responsibilities

- Small electrical installations, fault-finding, and lighting maintenance
- Emergency lighting testing
- Control panel maintenance
- Replacing ballasts
- Monitoring the BMS (Building Management System) for heating and cooling systems
- General M&E and fabric maintenance
- Logbook updates and compliance reporting
- Basic plumbing tasks (e.g. unblocking toilets)
- Maintenance of pumps, motors, and other building systems

Requirements

- City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 in Electrical Installations
- 18th Edition qualification
- Ability to provide copies of relevant trade certificates
- Proven experience in commercial building maintenance
- Multi-skilled with a proactive, hands-on approach
- Strong communication skills and client-facing experience
