Job summary

Arriva Midlands Limited is seeking a dedicated Cleaner Fueller Shunter Supervisor to oversee evening cleaning, fuelling and shunting operations at the depot. You will manage a team and ensure vehicles are clean and ready for service.

The role requires supervisory experience within transport or depot, PCV/PSV entitlement or willingness to obtain, strong health and safety knowledge, and a proactive approach to operations. Excellent leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience within a transport or depot environment.
• Demonstrable experience in vehicle cleaning, fuelling and shunting.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to obtain PCV/PSV entitlement.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to depot operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of cleaning, fuelling and shunting team.
• Ensure vehicles are cleaned to company standards, internally and externally.
• Oversee refuelling with accurate records and safety compliance.
• Manage safe and efficient bus shunting within the depot.
• Conduct regular inspections and report defects or maintenance needs.
• Train new staff on procedures and safe practices.
• Monitor performance and provide feedback.
• Enforce health and safety policies ensuring a safe environment.
• Complete paperwork such as shift logs, fuel usage, incident reports.
• Liaise with engineering and operations for smooth depot operations.
• Handle operational issues or staff concerns during shifts.
