Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting experienced Class 2 Drivers for a Swindon-based role within a well-known logistics and distribution organisation. The position offers temporary, ongoing work with night shifts, including every Saturday, and a pay rate of £20.54–£23.77 per hour.

You will operate a Class 2 vehicle between distribution centres, with focus on safety, route planning and paperwork. Applicants must hold a valid UK Cat C licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, and have at least 1 year

Qualifications

• Valid UK Cat C driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 1 years previous Class 2 driving experience within a logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
