Job summary

Menzies Distribution Solutions Ltd in Burton upon Trent is seeking a HGV Class 1 Tanker Driver for night shifts to deliver and collect goods for customers. You will drive company vehicles, adhere to H&S and regulatory standards, and maintain professional standards while representing the company.

Requirements include 2+ years driving experience, valid UK license with appropriate categories, a clean license with minimal points, and a Digi-Tacho card.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years relevant driving experience.
• Valid UK license with appropriate category (C1/C/C+E) and GB evidence if non-GB.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/DR endorsements.
• Tanker (Food Grade) experience; ADR not required.
• Current Digi-Tacho card and ability to pass a company medical.
• Ability to pass a driving assessment and experience with loading/unloading.
• Good knowledge of UK geography and drivers hours/WTD regulations.
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general driving duties, delivering and collecting to/from customers.
• Wear correct company uniform and PPE, clean and in good repair.
• Maintain a professional standard when representing Menzies during deliveries.
• Carry out pre-use vehicle checks and complete relevant documentation.
• Report vehicle defects, damage or safety issues to management.
• Ensure loads are safe, secured and properly restrained.
• Complete PODs and delivery paperwork; manage load documentation.
• Adhere to EU drivers’ hours and WTD regulations; follow all HS rules.
• Nights out may be required in line with operational needs.
• Perform other reasonable requests from Management.
