Job summary

TURNERS (SOHAM) LTD in Tilbury is recruiting a qualified HGV driver to safely collect and deliver bulk powder cement using modern powder tankers. You will be trained on safe discharge procedures, site rules, and equipment use, and you will perform daily vehicle checks, maintain tachograph records, and provide a courteous on-site service.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 licence and Driver CPC.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Strong safety focus and attention to detail.
• Powder tanker experience preferred but full training provided.
• Up to 6 penalty points considered (no recent DD, DR, or IN).
• MPQC Skill Card desirable.
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive safely and on schedule.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Follow site discharge procedures and quality controls.
• Maintain tachograph records in line with regulations.
• Keep vehicle clean and well maintained.
• Provide a professional and courteous service on site.
• Overtime and shift flexibility as needed.
