Job summary

Mariposa & Papillon Care is seeking a Senior Care Assistant (Nights) at Sovereign Lodge, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. You will lead a small night team, delivering high‑quality care and supporting residents to live happier, healthier and more independent lives.

You’ll need a Health and Social Care Level 3 qualification, strong English and numeracy, and a passion for mentoring colleagues to excel in a senior role.

Qualifications

• Care experience with supervisory responsibilities
• Health and Social Care Level 3 qualification
• Good English and numeracy skills are required

Responsibilities

• Supervising your team so they’re confident and skilled in every part of their role.
• Supporting residents with a range of personal care needs, while maintaining dignity and privacy.
• Ensuring each resident has a comprehensive and up-to-date care plan that reflects their needs.
• Dispensing medication with accuracy and keeping detailed records.
