Job summary

Radley College is seeking a calm, reliable Security Porter to join the night team, ensuring a safe and welcoming campus environment. You will patrol buildings and grounds, monitor CCTV, manage access, and respond to incidents while maintaining logs and handing over information to night colleagues.

A full driving licence and current SIA licence are essential; prior security or customer-facing experience is beneficial. Shifts include 7pm–3am, 9pm–5am and 11pm–7am, across 197 days per year.

• Experience in security or customer-facing environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular security patrols of College buildings and grounds.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms and security systems, responding promptly to concerns.
• Manage access to the site, including visitors, contractors and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies, taking appropriate action and escalating as needed.
• Identify and report security, safety or maintenance issues.
• Provide a helpful and professional point of contact for pupils, staff and visitors during the night.
• Maintain accurate logs and handover information to colleagues.
