About the role

As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help our customers experience the best service, providing passionate Partner-led service and food expertise that sets us apart. Your dedication will enhance the Waitrose brand impression and foster customer loyalty.

Note: Applicants must be 18 years or over due to working time regulations.

Additional pay: You will receive a shift premium for hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00, paid at the role's minimum pay rate.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and products in the right place.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery.
• Reducing wastage through product diligence and markdowns.
• Supporting shop team tasks, including checkout, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy environment with shopkeeping tasks.

Essential Skills/Experience

• Effective communication skills for team and customer interaction.

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Interest and knowledge of food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to support the branch.

Part-time hours: 18.5 hours per week, every Friday and Saturday, 21:00-07:00.
