About the role

As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help our difference be felt by our customers on every visit, providing the Partner-led service and passion for food that our competitors can't match. Your drive to go the extra mile will positively impact the impression of the Waitrose brand and encourage customer loyalty.

Note: Applicants must be 18 years or over due to working time regulations.

In addition to the stated pay, you will receive a shift premium for hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00, paid at the role's minimum pay rate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and products in the right place.
  • Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery.
  • Reducing wastage through product due diligence and markdowns.
  • Supporting the wider shop team, including checkout, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.
Essential skills/experience
  • Effective communication skills for team and customer interactions.
