Job summary

Waitrose & Partners in Portishead is looking for a friendly Supermarket Assistant to help deliver our image of trusted service and high standards. You will support customers, keep shelves stocked, fulfill online orders and work with the team to ensure smooth daily operations.

You will follow safe handling practices, assist with Click & Collect and maintain a clean, welcoming shop floor. Experience in customer service is welcome; flexibility and a positive attitude are valued.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for driver delivery to customers' doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and use-by/expiry rules.
• Working with the wider shop team to support checkout, Click & Collect and on-demand orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
