Job summary

John Lewis Partnership in Bath is recruiting a Supermarket Assistant to help our customers with friendly, Partner-led service and a passion for food. You’ll help stock shelves, fulfil online orders and support the wider team across shifts.

This role offers a 37.5-hour week across seven days, including early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends between 21:00 and 07:15, with DBS checks where required and a commitment to safe, clean working practices.

Qualifications

• Communication to work effectively as part of a team and with customers.
• Experience in a customer-facing role is welcome (desirable).
• Up-to-date knowledge of food and drink trends is a plus.
• Flexible approach to support the whole branch.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and correctly positioned for customers.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery or pickup.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and date checks.
• Collaborating with the wider shop team, including checkout support and Click & Collect.
• Maintaining a safe, tidy working environment and general shopkeeping tasks.
