Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is hiring a Supermarket Assistant for varied night shifts across our Witney branch. You will help deliver the Partner-led service and passion for food that our customers value, while keeping shelves stocked and orders moving.

This role emphasizes teamwork, flexible hours, and a positive attitude to support the branch during busy periods. DBS/vetting may be required and training will be provided to ensure high standards of customer care.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to enable you to work effectively as part of a team and with customers.
• Experience in a customer-facing role is welcomed.
• Knowledge of food and drink trends is a plus.
• Flexible approach to support the whole branch.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and correctly placed.
• Fulfilling online orders for delivery to customers' doors.
• Reducing wastage by using date checks and markdowns.
• Supporting checkout, Click & Collect, and other customer services as needed.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.
