Job summary

Crosslaw Care Home in Lanark is seeking a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN to deliver high-quality, clinically led care. You will assess needs, develop care plans and administer medication while leading shifts and supporting a skilled care team.

You will work to maintain safe, effective practice, ensuring dignity, independence and wellbeing for residents as part of a professional, well-led team.

Qualifications

• Active NMC PIN required for practice as a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN).
• Ability to lead shifts and support a care team with sound clinical judgement.
• Strong communication and leadership skills within a care home setting.

Job description

Located in Lanark, South Lanarkshire, our beautiful care home provides Nursing & Dementia care for 45-residents.

Registered Nurse RGN or RMN Contract

• £21.55 per hour
• Contracted to full time or part time hours per week
• Paid NMC, Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.

Role Overview

As Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care while taking responsibility for maintaining safe, effective and person centred practice across your shift. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring standards are upheld and care is delivered consistently in line with best practice.

You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health. Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring continuity and quality of care at all times.

Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your judgement and experience to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, professional environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised.

What We Are Looking For

• Registered Nurse RGN or RMN with an active NMC PIN
• Strong clinical judgement and decision making skills
• Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a team
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, however we welcome nurses from a range of backgrounds who are keen to develop within this environment
