Job summary

Woodlands Care Home in Aberdeen is recruiting a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN to join our clinical team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, clinically led care across residential and nursing services, including dementia and palliative care.

You will lead shifts, develop care plans, administer medications and supervise care staff while maintaining documentation and promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse with active NMC PIN.
• Strong clinical judgement and leadership skills.
• Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, however we welcome nurses from a range of backgrounds who are keen to develop within this environment.

Job description

Our care home, nestled in the tranquil Craigiebuckler area of Aberdeen, offers distinguished care services tailored to a variety of needs, including Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Respite, and Palliative care. With a capacity for 81 residents, we provide a serene and supportive environment where personalized care meets exceptional living.

Registered Nurse RGN or RMN Contract

• £21.09 per hour
• Contracted to 45 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.

Role Overview

As Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care while taking responsibility for maintaining safe, effective and person centred practice across your shift. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring standards are upheld and care is delivered consistently in line with best practice.

You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health. Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring continuity and quality of care at all times.

Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your judgement and experience to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, professional environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised.
