Job description

The Quays Hotel Sheffield are looking to recruit a Night Team Member to join a fantastic team at the 4 star 128 bedroom establishment in Sheffield City Centre.

Are you a Night Owl? We are looking for a dynamic, highly flexible personality who strives to exceed customer expectations as well as having a willingness to learn and develop within the hospitality industry.

The hours of work are 32-40 hours per week, working four or five shifts over seven days, shift start and finish times are typically 23:00 - 07:00 and include weekends & bank holidays. Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • To provide a warm, welcoming and friendly environment
  • Management of guest arrivals and departures
  • Cashiering duties
  • To provide guests with information and assistance as required
  • Reservations handling
  • Telephone handling
  • Luggage assistance
  • Reconciliation of payments, revenue streams & closing of business date, and the completion of all other Night Audit procedures
  • Assist with security and in emergency situations
  • All other duties as directed

  • Always delivers exceptional customer service in a professional manner
  • Is personable and presentable
  • Works well both as part of a team and on own initiative, and with a good level of common sense
  • Has a keen eye for detail with the ability to find, trace and correct anomalies
  • Is highly reliable and very flexible with working patterns
  • Has a strong willingness to learn and is keen to develop and progress within the hospitality industry
