Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property is seeking a Site Engineer to work nights on a high-profile roof refurbishment project at a major station in Birmingham.

You will oversee day-to-day engineering control, setting-out, and QA on deconstruction and replacement of secondary steelwork and cladding, ensuring design conformance, timely delivery, and safety. Ability to use surveying equipment and CAD is essential, with a valid CSCS card and UK work eligibility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Site Engineer for Tier 1/2 contractor
• Experience with structural steel installations or building refurbishments
• Valid CSCS card
• UK work eligibility

Responsibilities

• Establish and check roof site controls
• Carry out setting-out and surveys
• Interpret drawings and resolve design clashes
• Prepare ITPs and document inspections
• Raise As-Built surveys for handover
• Monitor subcontractors and RAMS compliance
• Maintain site diaries and progress reports
