Job summary

Lanes Group Ltd in Rainham is seeking a Night Plumber for our Rail sector projects, mainly for London Underground and TfL sites. You will perform urgent repairs to plumbing and drainage systems during night shifts, ensuring safety standards and TfL compliance.

The role requires a Level 2 plumbing qualification with NVQ, a full UK driving licence, and readiness to complete Sentinel ICI training. You will join a dedicated team delivering reliable and compliant rail infrastructure services.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 plumbing services with NVQ and recognised certification.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Prepared to undergo Sentinel Railway Industry Common Induction (ICI) training.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency plumbing and drainage issues during night shifts to minimise service disruption.
• Carry out reactive maintenance on toilets, pipework, pumps, valves, cisterns and underground drainage systems.
• Ensure all work complies with TfL standards, safety regulations and company procedures.
• Provide real-time job updates and completion reports to the Control Centre.
• Identify root causes of faults and advise on follow-up or preventative work.
• Maintain accurate records of work and materials used.
• Adhere to approved method statements and safe systems of work under health and safety regulations.
• Liaise with internal staff and provide customer service to the public and client.
