Job summary

Alexander Steele Recruitment is representing an established ambient food manufacturer seeking a Production Manager (Nights) for their West Yorkshire site. You will be part of the leadership team overseeing night-shift production, safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

You'll drive Lean Six Sigma projects, develop preventive maintenance plans with engineering, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, safety and product quality on a fast-moving lines.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead night-shift production teams.
• Strong knowledge of Food Safety, Quality (BRC/HACCP).
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
• Collaborative approach to maintenance and cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all night-shift production activities, ensuring targets are met safely and efficiently.
• Ensure adherence to Food Safety, Quality (BRC/HACCP) and hygiene standards.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma to reduce waste and improve process efficiency.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans with engineering/technical teams.
• Contribute to Capex projects involving line upgrades and new equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
