Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group is seeking a Night Porter in Northern Ireland to support guest services and hotel operations. Responsibilities include handling check-ins/outs, assisting guests with luggage, and maintaining cleanliness across lobby, restaurant, and meeting spaces.

The role requires strong customer service experience, good English communication, and the ability to work in a busy environment as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Check in and out hotel guests and assist with guest requests (luggage/porterage).
• Responsible for cleaning areas as directed, including lobby, back office, stairs, restaurant and bar floors, public and staff areas and meeting room floor.
• Set up/prepare function rooms and breakfast area as directed by the manager on duty.
• Maintain cleanliness of the front entrance and outside areas; empty bins and pick up rubbish.
• Understand and follow hotel fire procedures to ensure safety of staff and guests.
• Set up meeting rooms as required.

Night Porter

Your Job :

• Check in and out hotel guests as required, as well as assist with guest requests in relation to luggage/porterage.
• Responsible for the cleaning of areas in the hotel, including but not restricted to the lobby, back office, stairways, restaurant and bar floor, public and staff areas and the meeting room floor.
• Responsible for cleaning other areas as directed by the manager on duty and also as per the nightly checklist, which may include the set-up of function rooms, the breakfast area, etc.
• Responsibility for the front entrance and outside of the hotel and ensuring that it is clean and tidy at all times. This includes emptying bins, picking up rubbish etc.
• To have a full understanding of the hotels’ fire procedures to ensure the safety of all staff and guests at all times.
• Responsibility for setting up meeting rooms.
