About the service:

Located in Nailsea, Bristol, Sycamore Lodge cares for up to 78 older adults, including those living with dementia.

The care centre features a spectacular atrium that allows natural daylight to fill the space, creating an outdoor-like environment year-round for residents and their families.

We are looking for a caring and dedicated Care Home Nurse to provide high-quality care to elderly service users with conditions such as Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson’s, or other clinical diagnoses. The successful candidate will collaborate with our team of care professionals to ensure optimal care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health and care needs, developing personalized care plans
• Administer medication and monitor responses
• Provide nursing care, including wound management and palliative care
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals for integrated care
• Support residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Offer emotional support to residents and their families
• Keep accurate and current records
• Adhere to Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards to ensure high-quality care
• Contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures
• Participate in induction and ongoing training of staff members

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in elderly care, particularly with dementia and Alzheimer's patients
• Knowledge of CQC regulations and standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
