Job Advert Role Description

Priory Hospital Norwich is a 34-bed acute mental health hospital that opened in 2020 across 3 wards in Attleborough. We are expanding to 44 beds with an additional PICU opening in Summer 2025. The Night Nurse role offers a great opportunity to join the PHN MDT team, working collaboratively to deliver high standards of care. Priory Hospital Norwich prioritizes patient-centered care, aiming to provide high-quality care and positive outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

1. Deliver prescribed care within an agreed framework.
2. Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care with patients and their families, respecting patient choices.
3. Act as the patient's named nurse, providing continuous care.
4. Observe and engage with patients to assess needs and evaluate progress.
5. Monitor and review care plans.
6. Respond to changes in patient conditions.
7. Handle patient and family suggestions and complaints proactively.
8. Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
9. Participate in clinical and non-clinical meetings.
10. Prioritize tasks and delegate appropriately; act as nurse in charge when required.
11. Maintain professional development in line with revalidation standards.
12. Build professional relationships with patients, colleagues, and visitors.
13. Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practice monthly.
14. Mentor newly qualified staff as a Preceptor.
15. Follow safeguarding policies and ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act, Capacity Act, and DOL standards.
16. Adhere to Medicines Management policies, Priory Group policies, and NMC Code.
