Job description

In your role as a Night Manager at HC-One, you'll value one thing above all: kindness. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Everyone who works here understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and by joining us, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to these people.

As a Night Manager, you will be responsible for a specific part of the home and delivering the highest level of care. You will also oversee the entire home when the Home Manager and Deputy are absent. Whether reporting mobility issues, requesting samples for monitoring, or administering medication, you'll always prioritize resident dignity and wellbeing.

You should have proven leadership skills in a care home for vulnerable adults. Beyond that, we value your positive energy and ability to connect with people. This role requires accountability, and you'll be expected to communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know the appropriate steps to take if concerns arise. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and to seek advice and escalate concerns when necessary.

In addition to your salary, we offer a variety of benefits to support your wellbeing and career development, including:

  • Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
  • Free uniform
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
  • Refer a friend scheme up to £1000 per referral
  • Company pension scheme
  • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Group life assurance
  • Learning and development opportunities with qualifications
  • GP online service for you and your children under 16
  • Access to over 1600 high street discounts
  • Employee Assistance Programme for physical, mental, and financial support
  • Recognition schemes such as 'Kindness in Care' and Long Service Awards
  • Nutritious meals during shifts of 8 hours or more

We are committed to fostering an inclusive workforce that reflects the communities we serve. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and aim for a quick onboarding process from offer to start date.
