Job description
Overview

Please note that this is a full-time role working 38.5 hours per week from 8pm - 8am, full flexibility is required.

In your role as a Night Manager at HC-One you will value one thing above all: Kindness. It carries across every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining us, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.

Being a Night Manager will mean taking responsibility for a specific part of the home and delivering the very best level of care. You may also run the entire place when the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager are absent. Whether you're reporting that a resident appears to have mobility issues, asking a colleague to provide a sample for monitoring, or administering a medicine, you will keep resident dignity and well-being in mind above all.

You will have proven leadership skills in a care home for vulnerable adults. Beyond that, it's all about your positive energy and natural ability to get along with people. This is a role for someone who is ready to take real accountability, and when communicating with a resident or co-worker, you'll be truly considerate and kind.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and it is important that you can recognise the signs that may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Proven leadership skills in a care home for vulnerable adults.
  • Positive energy, the ability to get along with people, and willingness to take real accountability.
