The Role:
- Assist the Front Office Manager in overseeing the entire Front Office operation to maintain high standards
- Evaluate guest satisfaction levels and monitor trends for continuous improvement
- Recognize regular and VIP guests, promote the hotel’s loyalty schemes, and maintain a sales attitude
- Maximize room occupancy and rates, and promote hotel services and facilities
- Handle foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash according to hotel policies
- Represent senior management in their absence, taking full responsibility of the hotel
- Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Front Office team, focusing on training and teamwork
- Ensure staff are knowledgeable about hotel products, services, policies, and local area
- Maintain good communication with all departments
- Provide handovers to early staff or duty managers
- Conduct monthly meetings and produce minutes in the absence of the Front Office Manager
- Perform health and safety checks and night walks
