Job summary

WeMaintain is seeking a hands-on Night Lift Engineer for our London operations. You will respond to overnight breakdowns, diagnose faults, and perform repairs to keep lifts, escalators and related systems running through the night.

You will work a 4 on / 4 off rota, report findings clearly, and hand over to the day team with precise instructions. This role requires independent decision-making and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience working on lifts, breakdowns and fault finding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to work a 4 on / 4 off night rota.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns and callouts overnight, prioritising safety.
• Carry out fault investigations and repairs on lifts.
• Release trapped passengers safely following procedures.
• Record findings and parts needed for handover to the day team.
• Maintain safety standards and follow isolation procedures.
• Deliver clear handovers to the day team for continuity.
