Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a factory or warehouse is useful but not essential.
  • Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Strip down and clean machinery and conveyor belts as per schedule.
  • Complete relevant paperwork after work.
  • Report maintenance requirements to supervisors.
  • Write issues in the nightly log register.
  • Handle chemicals during cleaning.

Job description

As a Night Hygiene Machine Minder, you will:

  • Strip down and clean the machinery and conveyor belts as per the cleaning schedule, reassembling and ensuring the machine is properly working once complete
  • Complete the relevant paperwork once the work has been completed
  • Report any issues to your supervisor
  • Report to the engineering and hygiene managers any maintenance requirements
  • Write issues in the nightly log register
  • Handle chemicals whilst cleaning the factory
  • Be comfortable working in confined spaces
  • Be comfortable working at height
  • Be happy to work in hot and cold environments

Our ideal Night Hygiene Operative will:

  • Understand the workings of machinery and conveyor belts
  • Be able to work with manual and power tools
  • Have good observational skills
  • Have a passion for delivering our customer orders while ensuring high Health and Safety, Food Safety, and Product Quality standards are met
  • Be comfortable working in a chilled food processing environment
  • Enjoy working at pace
  • Be motivated to take action and achieve results

Previous experience working in a factory or warehouse environment is useful but not essential, as full training will be provided.
